With heavy hearts and treasured memories, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Margaret Elizabeth Johnson, who left this world on January 8, 2025 at the age of 78.

Margaret was born on March 15, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois and grew up to become the heart and soul of our family. Her loving, kind, and generous made our home a place of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Whether she was preparing a meal for the family, offering words of encouragement during difficult times, or simply sitting with us in comfortable silence, her presence was a gift we will forever cherish.

As a elementary school teacher, she brought the same dedication and compassion to her work that she showed at home. Her colleagues and friends knew her as someone who always went above and beyond, never expecting anything in return.

In quieter moments, Margaret found joy in gardening, reading, and baking. These pursuits brought her peace and happiness, and she often invited her children and grandchildren to share in these simple pleasures.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Robert, daughter Sarah (Tom), son David (Emily), and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Williams.

Services will be held A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 15 at 2:00 PM at Grace Community Church.. Our mother taught us that love never ends, and in that truth, we find our comfort.
