Our hearts are shattered as we share that Margaret Elizabeth Johnson, age 78, was taken from us on January 8, 2025. No words are adequate for a loss of this magnitude, but we write these in honor of a life that, though far too short, was filled with more love than most people experience in a lifetime.

Margaret was born on March 15, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois and from the very first moment brought immeasurable joy to our family. Every day with Margaret was a reminder of what truly matters in this world. Margaret was loving, kind, and generous — qualities that emerged early and shone brightly in every interaction.

Margaret delighted in gardening, reading, and baking, approaching each day with a wonder and enthusiasm that inspired everyone nearby. The laughter, the curiosity, the boundless energy — these are the memories we hold closest.

Margaret is survived by her husband Robert, daughter Sarah (Tom), son David (Emily), and four grandchildren and was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Williams.
