The world lost a beautiful soul on January 8, 2025, when Margaret Elizabeth Johnson, age 78, slipped quietly from this life surrounded by those who loved most and were most loved in return.

Born on March 15, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois, Margaret grew into the kind of person others aspired to be — loving, kind, and generous in every sense. As a spouse, Margaret was an anchor through storms and a partner in every joy. The love shared within this marriage was not the stuff of fairy tales, but something far more real: the steady, day-in-and-day-out kind of devotion that builds a life worth living.

Margaret worked as a elementary school teacher, but would have said the truest work was done at home — raising children, nurturing friendships, and tending to the countless small acts of love that hold a family together.

Leisure hours were spent enjoying gardening, reading, and baking, activities that brought genuine delight and often drew the whole family in.

Left to carry forward this legacy of love are her husband Robert, daughter Sarah (Tom), son David (Emily), and four grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Williams.
