Margaret Elizabeth Johnson, age 78, of Portland, Oregon, passed away on January 8, 2025 in her home. Born on March 15, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois, Margaret was a beloved spouse, devoted parent, and cherished member of the community.

Margaret spent a fulfilling career as a elementary school teacher and was admired for the dedication and care brought to every endeavor. At home, Margaret was the cornerstone of the family — steadfast, generous, and always present. Known for being loving, kind, and generous, Margaret forged deep and lasting bonds with family, friends, and neighbors.

A lover of gardening, reading, and baking, Margaret found balance between the demands of daily life and the simple joys that made it meaningful.

Margaret is survived by her husband Robert, daughter Sarah (Tom), son David (Emily), and four grandchildren and was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Williams.

Visitation and funeral services will be held A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 15 at 2:00 PM at Grace Community Church.. The family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
