Margaret Elizabeth Johnson, age 78, of Portland, Oregon, passed away on January 8, 2025 in her home. Born on March 15, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois, Margaret lived a life marked by purpose, connection, and quiet determination.

Margaret worked as a elementary school teacher and approached the role with professionalism and pride. Beyond career achievements, Margaret was deeply committed to family and community, building relationships rooted in trust and mutual respect. Those who knew Margaret well would describe a person who was loving, kind, and generous — someone whose presence made a difference.

Personal interests included gardening, reading, and baking, activities that brought balance and joy to everyday life.

Margaret is survived by her husband Robert, daughter Sarah (Tom), son David (Emily), and four grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Williams.

Funeral services will be held A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 15 at 2:00 PM at Grace Community Church.. All who knew and cared for Margaret are welcome to attend and pay their respects.
