Margaret Elizabeth Johnson, age 78, of Portland, Oregon, passed away on January 8, 2025 in her home. Born on March 15, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois, Margaret lived a long and meaningful life dedicated to family, community, and honest work.

Over the course of a distinguished career as a elementary school teacher, Margaret earned a reputation for reliability and excellence. But it was at the family table where Margaret truly shone — as a loving spouse, a guiding parent, and an adoring grandparent whose door was always open and whose kitchen was never empty.

Margaret was known for being loving, kind, and generous and found great pleasure in gardening, reading, and baking, pastimes that were eagerly shared with grandchildren and great-grandchildren alike.

Margaret is survived by her husband Robert, daughter Sarah (Tom), son David (Emily), and four grandchildren and was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Williams.

Funeral services will be held A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 15 at 2:00 PM at Grace Community Church.. The family invites all who knew and loved Margaret to join in honoring a life beautifully lived.
